Margazhi Poove is a song I listen to pretty much everyday! Lovely vocals and it makes you feel like you are in a field of green grass and with a bubbling stream of water nearby!
(Damn! That does sound corny!)

LOL. Not at all corny! It's nostalgic Infact, am not too far away myself. In my case, I associate it to the fresh early morning goodness of breezy lush green paddy fields and little streams of water running in between with those tiny fishes (manathukanni?!) swimming around! Brings back sweet memories of schooldays!

The songs gives a very intimate feeling, especially with that echo and ambiance around Shoba Shankar's voice.

You have a record player right? Get the 45rpm vinyl of this title mastered by Steve Hoffman. As good as the CD is, it DOES NOT HOLD A CANDLE to the sound of the 45rpm vinyl which is easily in the top 5 of my collection wrt sound quality.

If the 45rpm Vinyl is 10 on the sound quality, the CD struggles to be a 4 but more like a 3. That is the kind of difference I am talking about

Shaizada, that is awesome. I will try to catch hold of it. Could you tell me from where we can buy LPs in Bangalore. I am also looking for regional LPs (Tamil movie songs, instrumentals, carnatic and Hindustani classical).
