>> very nice actually

System Of A Down: Very good progressive metal act. Probably one of the very few stand-out mainstream metal acts of the 2000's...

A recording of an astonishing concert given by Flute Mali that I downloaded from links on rasikas.org.

Well, to be honest, not right now, but I have played it three times in a week.

The Roots: Hip hop with a distinct Jazz feel with predominantly live instruments. Not too shabby lyrics either, though a tad explicit. Probably one of the better hip hop acts...

There is just soooo much good music in non-mainstream musical veins of our society... such a pleasure to discover it. Another recommendation for this album. The CD is excellent, the vinyl is OUTSTANDING. :clapping:

Nada Surf - The Weight Is A Gift (Vinyl)

NOT ONE BAD SONG ON THIS ALBUM!!! The lost art of album making in this day and age....wow! GET THIS ASAP!
big time Nada Surf fan here...saw them live about a year back..fantastic band with some amazing music. Second the album..their newer album Luck y is also quite excellent.

Sachi,

Pick up a not too expensive turntable and get those albums on vinyl. Nada Surf - Lucky is up next actually also on vinyl.

The Nada Surf CDs aren't even 25% of what they sound like on Vinyl...YOU WILL BE IN HEAVEN and won't wanna come back ;)

Actually, I have a Rega P2 with a Super Elyss Cartridge if you wanna buy it from me. That table is excellent to get your feet wet. Even have an extra phono stage....Musical Surroundings Phonomena. Just message me if these things interest you and we can work something out.

But the fact remains.....get those albums on Vinyl!!

I have the whole Explosions in the Sky discography on CDs. I'm going to be picking up the vinyl from a local Indie store. Probably will go tonight or tomorrow...

While I'm at it, I'm listening to Dark Was the Night on vinyl right now:
