Right now I am listening to ...

@jls001
Eros Theatre complex used to house "Groove" music store during the 90s till 2004. They had a fabulous "Jazz/Blues" collection. I guess, the "Hot House" CD that you bought must've been that of original RCA lable, before their merger with SONY music - may be the remnants of "Groove" ended up in Satyam Collection. BH's piano skills shines through out the album, especially "Spider Fingers".

Yes, I remember the short-lived store Groove in Eros Theater building. Funky aluminium flooring, very different layout, etc.

Satyam has also been in existence (as long as I can recall) primarily as a seller of greeting cards and gift items, but they have also always had a good audio and video collection. It's just that they have slipped below my radar for a long time.

Just heard a song from the Tamil movie - Neethane En Ponvasantham. The song is titled - Kaatrai Konjam Nikka Shonnen.

Listen to the song here:

Kaatrai Konjam - Neethane En Ponvasantham - Full Song - YouTube

Can I say this is the first Tamil song I have heard that has been written and played in Jazz style so beautifully? Really, it sounds like an extraordinary song to me. Even guys who do not understand Tamil can listen to the song and enjoy the rhythm.

Cheers

there's a nip in the air in the evenings and its the christmas quarter so what the heck
I am advanced by two weeks than you :lol: I played some really nice jazz Christmas numbers a fortnight ago during a longish drive. My drive companions were wondering, "what the hell is wrong with this fellow."

BTW, I wholeheartedly recommend Merry Axemas for all axe fans. Standout track for me is Joy to the World by Steve Morse.

No nip in the air yet, here in Mumbai:)

Incidentally a fan of Bon Iver... have both their albums. (The group that made the song originally).

I have been searching, searching and searching for Bon Iver albums. Can't find them yet. Not really keen to buy one-two CDs off Amazon.
