Santiago is an interesting concept album that explores Celtic-Galician traditional music & their influence in the Americas (Mariachi, etc.). As usual The Chieftains are in great form with the able assistance from Galician artists. Los Lobos & Linda Rondstadt too have contributed their bit on one track.

Please also listen to the album Tabula Rasa by Bela Fleck, Jie Bing Chen, Pandit Vishwamohan Bhatt, and others. This is an amazing fusion of Chinese, Hindustani, Carnatic, and Bela Fleck's brand of blue grass. On this album, Bela Fleck's banjo plays the "contralto" role to perfection.
