Right now I am listening to ...

How about Mory Kant & Youssou N'Dour? I've quite a few albums by both and really love their music. Ditto for Ali Farka Tour too.

dont really listen to a lot of african music. its just a once in a while thing. very rarely do i stray from rock:)

Same here. Once in a while its nice to stray! I'm more of an easy listener with an occasional burst of Metallica once in a while.

He he, same here too. Most of my Metallica and Black Sabbath days are over. Coming to Afro music, it is once in a while, but I do listen to Mory Kante a fair bit.

This vinyl is mastered by Stan Ricker. He is a mastering god on the level of Hoffman, Grundam et al. Directly made from the analog 2 channel master tapes.

Hai Moser,

In one of MIAs songs she has lifted a song by Ilaiyaraja "Kattukuyullu" from the film thalapathi. The clips of the songs are available at Youtube.

Thanks,

N Murali.

Thanks for pointing it out. My wife was in fact insisting it's a copy of a song she had heard it but I myself could not place it when I was listening to it in the morning. There are other songs too copied by her in fact the song Jimmy Jimmy from Disco Dancer was very easy to place.

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
