Right now I am listening to ...

Nice picks. I have the Frampton 25th Anniversary SACD (poor man's vinyl!) and it is a fairly decent recording. But I am sure your vinyl captures the energy of the concert far better. I heard his more recent "Fingerprints" album and was disappointed...

You are so right on this. I've heard this concert on different digital formats, but I just wasn't taken aback like I was today. I found this record for $2 in a used records store near my house. It was a double LP and the vinyl looked pristine as if it wasn't played that much. The cover was a little worn, but I brought it home and put it aside. Just this morning I took it out, gave it a cleaning on the VPI RCM and put on the first side. The added bonus was that the record was completely flat with no warps whatsoever. As if it had been stored for all these years.

The energy captured in the record was mind boggling. It was truly an immersive 3D experience. Such a high quality recording done way back then. Its unbelievable that digital is soooooooooooo far away still in this day and age.

Happy listening my friend.

Couldn't agree with you more! There is something that just can't be captured on digital formats.... LP's rule even in mah roost!

Re: New Sections

Hey! I'm an APP fan!
Do you know where I can get sum APP on LP? I have only one album on LP....

Hi

I Love Rush :yahoo:
RHCP is pretty nice too, though I don't have any of their LPs yet. I do have ALL of their CDs.

Right now I'm listening to some Jacintha, Autumn Leaves on 45rpm Vinyl from Groove Note:

Its 12:10am here ;) I should be sleeping but she is just serenading me!!

"Funny the way it is if you think about it," I just got done spinning that vinyl. I definitely see some level of similarity in taste here.

This is my second DMB album(started with 'Under the Table and Dreaming' ) and I like its sound. How about the other albums?

Dude, you can't go wrong with ANY Dave Mathews albums. They are an absolutely talented band and deliver solid music.

Your next albums should be:

Before These Crowded Streets
Everyday
Busted Stuff
Some Devil
