Delhi 6 is a great album. Its a non mover on my player among Hindi songs. Somehow Blue failed to impress me.
Listening to this right now..

Dard e tanhai and Nazrein are a decent listen and quite hummable.:)

Like all Rahman albums, Blue is an absolute assault on the ears the first couple of times you listen to it. I dont know how the guy manages it, but this is how it always happens.

But once you start listening to stuff more regularly, the songs are really alluring. The theme song, Fiqraana, even the saucy Kylie Minogue sung 'Chiggy Wiggy' and a lovely duet sung by Sukhwinder and Shreya - they are all good. Rehnuma is a haunting piece, actually. Took time to grow on me, personally.

thevortex, I am going through the exact same thing you have posted. Rehnuma, Fiqrana are high on my list.
I have grown up on a.r rahman songs, tamil and hindi, I mean I used to bug the neighborhood cassette shop guy :pasking when this movie or the other's cassette would release and always made sure I would pick the first cassette when they open the carton itself!:D
I guess Blue has music tailored to its action movie theme which is why some of the numbers were not so much to my liking initially!

Now listening to

just bought this album and listened to it the other night. was a little disappointed with it. expected more piano / vocals / acoustic / soulful. the vocals were there but apart from that it was very electronic. reminded me of a mix between enya and alanis morissette. the redeeming song was of course angel

TUM MILE

a good album here , definetly better than most of the other new releases, good vocals from a couple of new singers , also dont miss KK and mohit chauan

no offence`here , i am a huge fan of AR rahman
as usual AR rahmans tunes need to grow on repeated listenings , i found this album a real let down , it does not want to make u listen to it repeatedly ,the slow tracks lack emotion /soul (very unlike AR rahman compositions)

except fiqrana ,all the other tracks sounded like some Anumallik compositions, also wonder what k minogue is doing here???

MAYBE the compositions cud sound good after u watch the movie??? ( i havent seen it as yet)
