i saw the thread the day you posted it but unfortunately my exposure to the vast ocean of music is limited. That fear constrained me from adding to the thread.

am sure he would have been a great artist and maybe someday i will lucky to listen to a few of his tracks.

Paco,with his flamenco gypsy background and a keen sense of adventure ,extended the realms of accoustic guitar for the vast and global jazz audience.
Absolutely shocking - one of the greatest guitarists ever.
In fact, in his epic exploits with John mclaughlin and Aldemeola in 'Friday night live', there are many moments when the other 2 guitarists seem to doing things with a lot of effort and Paco is chugging along effortlessly.
may his soul rest in peace.
