Ripper of a DAC only $1100......WOW!

Yet another sabre dac with what is probably an op amp output stage. Unless one has a large DSD collection, this seems pretty run of the mill.

On a side note, US$1100 on a chinese dac may be a hard sell.

Haven't come across another DAC at that price point with similar features and build quality. Did you see the one piece Alum chassis CNC'ed?
It would need to be made in China to get to that price point! I guess your Apple product is made in China too.
Eventually you do need to hear it. But having heard the $1500 Mytek (Sabre Chip) on DSD it will compete with any state of the art PCM Dac.
Cheers

Made in china does not bother me one but because all it matters is how the DAC sounds.

Made in China doesn't bother me but a Chinese brand does. Especially one whose most famous product, the m-stage headphone amp, was a clone of a western design

Like I said earlier, interesting IF you have a lot of DSD content (easier said than done). Even for that, why pick this over the Mytek?

A CNC chassis to me is not really a selling point.

Yep! I'd pick a Mytek over this anyday if I wanted a cheap dsd dac. However there are better options out there for the same price.
