Folks,
I am looking for a way to get Dolby Atmos content through streaming devices. It is not an ideal situation to keep buying new BD Discs and take up physical space (Worst if I continue, I may get banned at home :) ).

I know none of them provide Atmos content on streaming as of now. But with a possible future if either Google play movies or Apple iTunes or Netflix/Amazon prime supports atmos soon, what will be a better device of choice.

I dont want the xbox, nvidia shield route as I am not a gamer and I dont want my kids to enter gaming. So I narrowed down to Roku and Apple TV , though I have a Fire TV Stick which I am pretty sure will not support Atmos due to its hardware limitation.

Roku is just 99 $ but not sure how it will work in India. Apple TV is 179$ but popular services will work on it without a problem. I also read Apple TV will support Atmos soon. Roku already has pass through.

Or do I just grind my teeth and wait out a bit more?

But Apple TV does not support few codecs including .mkv. Check OSMC Vero 4k if it solves your purpose as it supports almost all codecs because of its underlying platform which is KODI. Also it supports ATMOS as passthrough.
