Satyaki Banerjee DIY Speaker Projects

A small update. I have changed my drivers from 45 to 2a3. Magic happened with my existing Denon CD player and NOS Teradak. I am using my old Jamo cable not easy to get now.
Sometimes we try to upgrade chain without realising possibilities need to xplore within. May be a slight mismatch is contributing to big frustration.
As far as I experienced if you are okay with existing digital media then Single ended tube amp and high sensitivity speakers is the best combination to experience great music which each artist try to create.
For me this combination is not making me feel that I am missing turntable or Sub woofer to get punch. Even though I know TT can take this to next level.
Now this system is fully ready of someone want to experience the performance. I am waiting for Satyaki also to experience the setup as he himself have not experienced outcome.
Another update. Those who crave for Bass response. Many a times we get to convinced by music as it is and you are getting natural base and this is how is in studio.
Not always correct. Unless your amp and speakers are sink you will always cry for missing bass response. Every musician is taking care of base. Every note is having equivalent weight of bass response. Music will never be sweet of you are not getting both balancer base and trebles.
I feel lucky when I see my speakers performing well aligned with Lyrita 300b amp. If amp and speakers are well tuned then your ordinary source will also do magic.
If both components are well aligned then there is less worry of placement acoustics etc.
to feel what I am saying one need to be experience.
I am in Bangalore and someone need to have feel can DM to fix time to get experience.
This is a different league. I have gone through journey from Cardence, Dali, Dynaudio, KEF, Harbeth, Tannoy and many others.
This is entirely different. Thanks to Satyaki and Sadik once again.

Another update here. Now I have 4 nos 2a3 tubes glowing in my amp. Full DHT, AC heater, simple accessories but full body sound no lag no missing details no loose punch. Wow we did it. Thanks to Viren Bakhshi Sir! Your amp is rocking.

Very pleased to see the synergy across all the components delivering the intended emotional impact.

Thanks to you. From here it’s game of money and ego. But the way music is appearing on this system is good enough to get state of satisfaction. And I am asking myself do I need to have some different system and then answer is no.

Hello Everyone,

Some more updates. From last couple of days I was trying to find best placement for my speakers. Me and Satyaki were discussing the same as I was always saying despite all good there is some more magic about to happen. I was holding myself for my other upgrades till I settle this.

Finally I found a place for my speakers even though Amplifier can not be accommodated close the Speakers which is unavoidable.

Moment I changed real magic happened. These speakers with Lyrita Amp completely in sync. It is said that we must learn from the mistakes of others so that we take right decision.

Those who are still in confusion and are not able to take decision are most welcomed to experience musicality of system with most simple configuration. Believe me simple things can make a big difference in music. If we believe our previous generations had golden era to enjoy great music and music systems then that's right. The same is possible today also with simplicity.

Thanks Satyaki for your support and Viren Sir for your Amplifiers. You have made us close to what every one want to enjoy "Vintage Flavor"

Wow interesting speaker! Is that a parallel 2a3 amp or is one 2a3 driving another.

Would love to hear this. Please DM me where you are located.

Thanks 👍

A Visit to Satyaki Da’s Sonic Ashram- what is my take

It was a true pleasure to visit Satyaki da’s home and immerse myself in the world he has so thoughtfully crafted—an audio rig that is as much a spiritual experience as it is a technical marvel. Listening to music through his system for hours felt less like an audition and more like a meditative retreat.

Satyaki da described it best: “As simple as it gets… sublime, musical.” That phrase stayed with me. It perfectly encapsulates the philosophy behind his setup—minimalist in appearance, yet profound in impact. Much like a saint whose wisdom lies in simplicity, this system doesn’t shout for attention. Instead, it invites you in, gently, and then moves you deeply.

What struck me most was not just the clarity or fidelity of the sound, but the emotional and spiritual depth it conveyed. This wasn’t just about hearing music—it was about feeling it. The system didn’t merely reproduce sound; it transmitted presence. It was as if the artists were right there, performing not just for the ears, but for the soul.

Visiting Satyaki da’s home felt like visiting an ashram. And he, the quiet sage behind this sonic sanctuary, reminded me that true brilliance often lies in restraint, in intention, and in the pursuit of something greater than perfection—connection.

Beautiful system.

At the smaller scale, I have developed my chain on similar components and philosophy. Would love you visit sometimes since you are with jurisdictional limits.

Kuddos to the pursuit of musical perfection!!

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
