Save a copy of this message in your Sent Items folder.

This option should be ON by default as many of the personal communication are related to buy/sell and record of the communication would help.

At this moment, user need to go to Advanced Option and check in order to save the message in sent folder which is not quite intuitive and often missed.

You need to go to Edit options and in 'Private messaging' check the box next to the option 'Save a copy of sent messages in my Sent Items folder by default'

Better way to save messages is to download them to your PC. Check this option at the end of the Private Messages page.

Download all Private Messages as:
XML | CSV | Text

You can download them in three formats.
