@hydrovac, did you complete the project and how is the music experience with the new subwoofer?
I'm contemplating on building a subwoofer, but haven't decided on the driver. And also, did you source your plate amp from parts express or locally and how much did it cost?

There is a woofer driver Peerless-Tymphany(15 inch) available on digikey, it has good reviews, but importing is going to be pain.
