Seeking Experienced Technician for TEAC CD-P650 Repair (Mumbai)

Hello fellow AV enthusiasts,

I'm reaching out to this knowledgeable community in search of a reliable and skilled technician in the Mumbai area who can repair my TEAC CD-P650 CD player. It's a model I've enjoyed for quite some time, and I'm hoping to get it back in working order rather than replace it.

The CD player is currently experiencing (not reading disks/skipping).

Ideally, I'm looking for someone who not only has experience working with TEAC equipment, particularly CD players, but also has the ability to source necessary spare parts if required.

Did you find anybody in Mumbai who can repair CD players ? . I checked with a few and they all said getting CD lens is difficult and the ones available don't last for long , hence they don't repair it now .

You may find a good doctor, engineer or even a good nuclear scientist.
But finding a knowledgeable, reliable and honest AV technician here is very rare.

I too have been looking out for such a cd repair technician in Mumbai for a long time and hopefully would have the opportunity to find and meet one in my lifetime...

I just got my Marantz cd 6006 player fixed by an experienced technician in Mumbai recommended by an ex-HFV member to whom I am really grateful to.

The main issue was that it would not read quite a few cd's especially the old ones and the open/close tray button when pressed would toggle to usb mode. The reading issue was apparently due to the motor & not the lens which is now fixed.

So far everything seems fine. Will test it for the next few days and will then DM you'll the gentleman's number if you'll want to go ahead.

@Nitin K - Toggling to USB mode is happening in both CD6005 and CD6003 when I use the buttons in the cd player ...for a couple of years now .... I thought its because I am using the remote and hardly use the buttons . Did that issue get fixed ? . Also pls share number and details along with charges .

CD 6003 remote has a open / close button , unlike the remote in new models which don't have this button .

The open/close function toggling to usb mode issue got sorted. In my case the usage of cd player was only during weekends and this issue happened during last year's monsoon time when I had hardly used the player.
