Can someone tell me if this cable can be used for tonearm rewiring.
sleeved, may be i can strip off i feet of sleeve and run inside the tonearm and continue the other end connected to RCA till the preamp.

Conductor to conductor capacitance of 95 pF/m is on higher side. Aren't there other quad cable models with lower capacitance value (say 50-60 pF/m)? I have a feeling Mogami should have just such a cable as the Jelco tonearm cables are made of Mogami cables (as per my understanding).

Alternately, look for RG 174 coaxial cables. I use them all the time.

If you are thinking of using the same wire from inside he tonearm right up to your pre amp, it may not be advisable because inside the tonearm, there will be sufficient insulation but it will not have metal insulation outside and this is likely to cause hum. You will need to clamp it securely otherwise there could be chances of loose contact if you pull the wire accidentally. Also, there may not be enough space in the tonearm to have 4 wires inside it.

I think I will use the RCA female sockets as Jls suggested. Have ordered cardas 33awg cable for inner wires. I guess I will get the RCA connecters in chennai as Capt Rajesh suggested. will discard the 4pin connector and solder the RCA females as Jls advised.

Will revert once I start the job.
