Sony BD S380. youtube streaming NOT HD?

Hello !

I went to see the demo of s380 at Sony showroom in Bangalore. blue ray is fine, but i was surprised to see that it DOES NOT stream the you tube content in HD !! the guy at the store tried various settings but was not able to get it in HD. (and we tried all the HD content on youtube btw).

i almost bought S380, its in my budget, but was disapointed.

i'm looking for a player which can stream HD internet content in HD.

or my other option will be to simply get a new internet tv ?

What you need is a HD media player.

@ sonic: it usually depends on the speed of the Internet connection being used.
I have a 370B and it streams Youtube in HD just fine. ( tested for a brief time only. on a 2mbps connxn)

Dude just connect your laptop or desktop and play the video in that. Even if your laptop doesn't have hdmi, even vga port is enough to do 1080p.

A computer is the best media player available

You can also get a good dlna software like serviio and stream from you pc

yes.. the S370/B model.. the predecessor to the 380.
