Is the Sony STR-DH810 or DH800 receivers available in India?
I have seen DH800 mentioned in WHATHIFI.

At this stage, not one receiver is available from Sony, in India. I too, would like a Sony receiver as I prefer their sound signature over the more popular (and available ones from) Yamaha, Onkyo and Denon.

You refreshed my memory with the link yes this is the one I saw ....

I'd use it over the Denon and Yamaha and Onkyo receivers.

I love Sony's open and lively sound sound signature. It's neither harsh/upfront/fuzzy like the Yammys (horrid, horrid sound) nor dull like the Onks and reserved like the Denons (sounds way too unexciting to me).

LOL! That's why I wouldn't touch that particular one with a bargepole - that one was meant for people upgrading from a boombox.
