Sources for sheesham wood in Bangalore

Hey guys,

I am planning to make some furniture and if possible an AV rack. Found someone who can make for me but trying to understand sources for sheesham wood in Bangalore. Can someone point me in the right direction ?

my understanding that you dont get Sheesham wood from Bangalore.

However you may like to prove me wrong.

Sheesham is generally found on the banks of rivers in northern india. We use to call it Tahli in our home state. It is easily available in northern part of the country mainly in Punjab and Haryana. Jodhpur has been the hub for most the Sheesham wood furniture sold through organised retail channel, I think few manufacturing units of sheesham wood furniture have been set up in Gujarat or Maharashtra in last few years.
