Hi All,

Need some suggestions on buying speakers for Denon- 1912. The following are my priorities,

1. Paradigm Monitor - 7 (V7) Floor standing speakers.
2. Boston Acoustics - 250A

Please send me your suggestions on these speakers. My budget is 40K.

Our forum member Sagarvikram is selling his monitor 9s for 40k. You can check if you are interested. They are just days old. :)

Dali Concept is a good choice. I had these speakers and they never disappointed me. However Concept center was not so great. Dialogues were not clear but definitely you can calibrate it to give you good output.

You can consider QAcoustic also if your budget is 40k. And if 40k is just for fronts then i would suggest you to buy Epos M12i. Excellent speakers they are.!

I would recommend Polk Tsi300. You could buy any speaker that has two drivers excluding tweeter, (With my limited knowledge and personal experience I feel ) anything more / bigger than that 1912 runs out of breath :)

You have not mentioned if you are planning to buy a subwoofer as well, I will also suggest a pair of good Book shelf with sub woofer , 1912 would drive the BS to it glory ! You budget is quite high just for speakers, so you could buy B&W BS ?

In this budget you could buy huge FS speakers but you should also think if the AVR and speaker would match.

I'm not planning to buy sub-woofer now, only two FS right. I'm looking for good quality and sound reproduction.

Polk Tsi 300 looks suitable in terms of power ratings. Checked in Junglee and they are selling for 23K.

Junglee.com: Polk Audio TSi 300 Tower Speaker (Pair)

I had auditioned Paradigm Monitor 7 and it goes well with Denon-1912, need to audition Pol Audio and B & W.

Any suitable B & W FS for Denon -1912

You mentioned an initial budget of 40k. I would buy sagarvikrams monitor 9's, considering its a couple of weeks old
The Polk TSI 300 is not in the same league as the the Monitor 7 / 9 for music reproduction.

B&W FS - it would be close to a miracle to get it at 40k .. if you can stretch your budget to the 70 - 90k mark you can look at the the B&W 600 range FS. However in that range there are a lot of other brands that outperform them in every aspect considering skewed Indian prices.

You have not mentioned your room size and music tastes ?

1912 cant drive B&W, it will sound like a rat coughing, uhu uhu

You have 40K budget, so why dont you get Tsi300 and Sub woofer ? It will solve all your needs

My hall size is 20ftx15ft, and my music taste is pop, jazz and gregorian chants.

Monitor 9 is slightly higher range in terms of power won't be suitable for Denon to drive it fully, however Monitor 7 will be ideal.

No doubt EPOS are great speakers, but please not with Denon 1912. :o

I know they need good and quality amplification but in 45k, with 1912, they still perform better than other speakers in same budget. Its just that you can utilise them fully with amps like Primare or Creek.

Monitor 9's are not known to be power hungry and the 1912 can easily drive them.

BTW - I'm am kinda addicted to Gregorian Chants as well .
I especially love their take on Brothers in arms, Tears in Heaven & Don't give up. O fortuna sounds pretty sublime as well

I have only MP3 collection of Gregorian Chants. I'm looking for FLAC audio for Gregorian Chants. If you know of any FLAC free downloads please let me know.
"Moment of Peace" is so melodious.

Currently, I connected my Denon-1912 with Sony Speakers which was from my old Sony Minii-HiFi system, the speakers are 2.5 way and 6 ohms, not at all impressive to listen on Sony speakers.

We are in a way talking about piracy here.- And it is a strict no-no here

Buy the CD's, Let the musicians make some money, so that they can sustain and keep coming out with more albums :clapping::clapping:
