Hi everyone!
This is my very first post in these forums. 5 years back I had bough tmy first HiFi audio system which was the Onkyo HT-S680, a 6.1 channel HTIB. I have been using it with my PC (connected via a Creative USB Sound Card) since.
For quite some time now I have been contemplating on switching to a 2 channel setup. I have two options:
1.Get rid of all my current Onkyo stock speakers but keep the Receiver. My budget for the pair of speakers is around 20,000 INR. What speakers would you suggest with my current receiver? I'm open to both bookshelves and floor-standers.
2. Get a budget two channel amplifier and a pair of speakers. The max budget for that currently would be INR 30,000. I have been contemplating a Sonodyne or a Marantz PM5004. That brings down the budget for the speakers significantly. I had also considered the Denon RCD-M38 compact system.
My primary source will be my PC/iPod Touch. I will be grateful for any inputs. I'm located in Kolkata. Thanks in advance.
