Speakers for Marantz SR5006 AVR?

thanks for giving your valuable information to choose AVR.I bought Marantz SR5006 AVR , 6 months used.pls suggest tower or bookshelf speakers which are suitable to my avr?budget is around 40k.I am waiting for your suggestions.

Go for Paradigm Monitor 7, just heard this at Kittu's place and itz driving good. Suitable for movies and also music.

Audition Mission MX speaker range with Marantz receiver & you will be pleasantly surprised ....

You also have Sonodyne / Tannoy / Wharfedale FS for < = 40K budget....Few other brands have been already recommended..

Audition as many speaker as possible & then pick the one which you like...

I am using Quad 12L2 with my Marantz M-CR603. Pretty good. You may want to check these out. They go well with Marantz.

KEF Q700 and EPOS EPIC 5 series if you can afford. Goes really well with marantz AVR.

I have not heard the combination but for music I feel Klipsch would match Marantz well for movies...as also Monitor Audio

We liked 5006 over Denon 1912 for movies in Mumbai HT meet where it was connected to Klipsch in wall speakers.

I think so Klipsch is costly and it cross my budget also.I want some more bass (with out boomy) from two tower speakers .

Try out the Dali Zensor series 5.

I think Dali zentor 5 is supporting 6 ohms and my avr is supporting 8 ohms.is it fine ?

There shouldn't be an issue as many AVR can drive 6 ohm easily.Yamaha/Onkyo has option to set 6 ohm impedance.

today I went to see the Definitive technology 8series sepakers,they are good for marantz.sound is details and subwoofer is too good.every thing is fine,but cost is 74k .

Try listening to as many speakers possible for your budget & then choose the one that you can afford & which u like...

i believe u have already heard Sonodyne..Did you try Tannoy / Wharfedale / Mission ?

I heard Tannoy v4.it is fine,but I am looking for more bass.

Then try listening to Mission with your Receiver.....They have good bass @ moderate listening levels...Also there are high on sensitivity around 92db... The old M series.... M34i/M35i

Hi,

today I went to demo of Paradiam monitor 9 v7,it is giving too much treble,I can't able to listen for 2 min .then after I went to see EPOS EPIC 5 (suggested by FM member kittu),it is too good,I like EPOS sound,whatever I played in Paradiam, same songs played by EPOS.so much different :yahoo: . I want say thanks to kittu who suggest to see this speakers .
