Most Dell laptops have this. I initially thought that it was indeed enhancing the audio, making it more 'prominent'. and i was swayed by the overly positive reviews of it all over the web.
now i admit i'm not massively into audio, but honestly, after spending some time without it/turned off, i really had to change my opinion. the audio does seem 'coloured' with these enhancements. i think its probably better to stick with the default equaliser in the media players.
