[SOLVED] StarGold HD no video, only audio TataSky HD

StarGold HD has no video, only audio in my TataSky HD. This weird issue has been there since a week. Called TataSky CSR a few times. Morons don't even know what is HDMI . Said if they have to send the technician it will cost me because STB is out of warranty.
Anyone know how to reset this STB. Used to be an option in the older firmware. I cannot find it in the new firmware?

You just give a complaint that unable to watch few channels even after recharging it on-time. Do not give them a chance to guess what problem it is until Service Engineer come to your home.

Me too have the same issue from some time. I thought it is something to do with my HDMI cable.
Any help on this would be appreciated.

Fixed it.

Tried Master Reset --> No use
Then forced it to download the firmware again --> worked
Now I can see StarGold HD.

Looked into System Settings --> System Details
The only item that changed is
under CA Diagnostics --> number 04) => Changed from XXXX....20 Y to XXXX....28 Y , whatever that means.

Ok. Let me mention both the options for everybody.

Master Reset
On the remote

1. Press "Organizer"
2. Select "System Settings"
3. Press "01" (you won't see anything happening on the screen)
4. Press "Select"

Now you will now see the hidden menu.

5. Select "Master Reset"
6. Select "Ok" for master reset confirmation message

Next it will ask for options for initial setup. Select everything that is selected by default.

Firmware Download
1. Keep the TV/Monitor always ON during the whole exercise.
2. Power ON the STB using the power plug switch.
3. Turn it ON using the remote.
4. Switch OFF the power plug switch (do not turn OFF the STB from the remote before switching OFF).
5. Wait at least for 10 seconds.
6. Power ON the STB using the power plug switch.

Now you will see the message "please wait, initializing" on the screen.

Now on the remote

7. Immediately press "Back" button twice (you will have to act fast & you won't see anything happening on the screen)
8. Immediately press "2465" (you will have to act fast)

You will see "Downloading software" message on the screen. It will start downloading the firmware. Do not touch the anything (remote, STB, power plug switch, etc), till the download completes and the STB reboots.

Now check to see if the channel which didn't work earlier is working or not.

That's all.
