Hi,

I am linking to a very long piece, published in installments in Stereophile in 2000, by Markus Sauer, which is probably the best piece of audio writing I've read in years.

After reading it I'm still amazed by the fact that Stereophile published it in the first place (it basically contravenes everything about the magazine, except for the existence of the other exception that proves the rule, which is Art Dudley) but more by how eloquently written, and superbly observed and reasoned it is.

Stereophile: God is in the Nuances

Regards
Rajiv

Hi Rajiv,

Thanks for posting this.

I, too, have downloaded this article long back as a reference for myself. I think everyone should read this as an intellectual exploration of a musical journey.

Regards,
Viren

rajiv, thanks for this :clapping:. I had read it long time back and then forgotten the source !. what i remember is the key differences in interpretation of Nuances by a system Vs Details it can bring out....and how the focus seems to have shifted over the years
