Strange Bi-wire Connections - SR5006

I was looking at the Bi-wire connection in the Marantz SR5006 manual and saw this strange connection diagram..

Fronts are connected right way but Surround Back/Amp Assign speaker connections are reversed.. Right connection is going to Left Speaker and Left connection is going to Right Speaker..

Is this the right way for bi-wire connections ??

It seems illogical to me. One way to make sure if this is right, is to use itunes or any media player with balance control (the equalizer menu has this) and then increase the volume towards the right channel and see if the rear right speaker shows the increased volume.

Or you can connect a source with only one of the channel connected to SR5006 input (either right or left).
