Are subwoofers normally class D amp's or are there other amps used aswell?
What kind of amp normally gives better performance in a sub?

Subs have Class D as well as Class AB amps. Both can be good or bad depending on the design, components used, execution etc.

I stay in bangalore I am interested to buy a subwoofer amp like 20hz to 1000 hz with a variable control atleast 100w rms .
