Dont use a courier company; use borderlinx (check the thread in the av lounge section). They are very efficient. They courier the items via dhl as well as handle the customs/duties etc. and get it to your doorstep.

It took three days for my items to reach from their location in the US to my house.

Hi Inderbir,

I would advise you to buy instead the deftech in the link that I gave. Its much better than the Jamo as thats the only sub we could compare to. Its at half the price <100 USD. Its with 240v, so no step down required. Plus Deftech has written that the warranty will be valid since it was a direct sale.

Your call.

However, remember, both the subs are not very musical, but very good for movies. Putting this caveat as your music preference is much higher.

The sub gain should be a knob in the sub. If your processor/avr has such settings you can do it through that too.

The sub I gave the link of, is a mid-range sub, can be compared to the current range deftech prosub 1000. The hsu and the pc12 nsd should be much better.

Also note, the deftech and hsu are 250w while the svs is at 400w so should theoretically be more powerful.

so i did some more research and i've kind of concluded that svs pc12 nsd should be the choice.

i'm ready to place the order. but just want a suggestion from our fellow members here....

the only doubt in my mind is that i'll have to order it from coimbatore. I spoke with audire yesterday and they told me the warranty is 2 yrs and if any repair required then after going through faq on tel if it does not get fixed i'll have to ship it to them for warranty related issues if any.

They sounded very professional and courteous and helpful with all my queries. So it Audire should be a good company to deal with.

now i'm only considering if i can get a similar performance from a Subwoofer from any brands available locally in Delhi like psb, polk, monitor audio, paradigm, b&w, velodyne, deftech etc....

Do you guys recommend a sub from the above brands giving equivalent performance to the pc 12 nsd at similar pricing...? or should i go ahead and place the order for the svs pc12 nsd..?

Pure Power .... but yes wont be less than say 80K ..... but thats what you want right ...... else go for Deftech SuperCube I should be around 60K ...... 13Hz @ 1500W ..... heck even the cheapest SuperCube which is SuperCube III does 16Hz at 650W should be around 40K ....... .......Give it shot

BTW there is one SuperCube Trinity as well ...... Powerhouse TANK .... does 10 Hz @ 2000W .... can produce

Subash has Trinity ..wowowwoww.... No wonder he uses richter scale to measure it .. ...... No sure about the price but the big daddy should set you back atleast 1.4L, since subash has it he would be in a better position to quote the price ......

You are thinking too much, my friend.

You can always reduce the gain or the volume of sound from the sub if you feel its too much.

You may not be able to use all the power when your parents too are around watching the movie.

Its like you have bought a ferrari but if you are taking your mom along then you would still drive at 60kmph

I would suggest that you save the money to buy quality speakers. I bought the below sub and its a really great deal. Even after shipping it would probably cost less than 20k and will beat the pants of a 30-40k sub.

This was tested in santhol2's ht and beat the pants of the jamo sub300. The HSU/SVS/BK would be better but considering your current avr, I would think they would overpower the rest of the speakers.

Sud98 - This is a very good deal and shopyourworld has quoted me a price of 14K for home delivery. I'm really tempted. My room is about 20*12*10 (2400 cu ft). Do you think this sub would suffice or should I be looking at a more powerful sub? Thanks in advance!
