hey guys got my svs sb1000 sub two days back and found the best place for it is around my sitting area away from the front (tv wall), i checked out some wireless transmitters and they all operate at 2.4ghz band which means interference. So my option now is to get a cable of around 18-20 meters. What options do i have, i have so far found this one 'AudioQuest Black Lab Subwoofer Cable' but not sure how much it will work out after shipping and duties from uk.
Links or places i can likely get a good shielded cable. will be routing it through pvc pipes through my false ceiling.

Get a "Blue-rigger" cable from amazon.in as some of the members including me use the same and very happy with the quality of the cable. You should get it a very good price. Not sure whether you get a 20mtr cable but try and buy it India as the cost would be less.

+1 for manniraj

I just very recently purchased a bluerigger cable from amazon.in. The quality is very good! I purchased a 15 mtr cable. It is quite thick and quality is extremely good.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

I bought a bluerigger HDMI cable and not too happy with the performance. Facing connectivity issues with it. Even the packaging that it came in, was just a candle sealed plastic packet with no labeling.

So do check the reviews before making payment.

The BlueRigger HDMI I ordered from Amazon came in a brown cartoon with Bluerigger printed on the carton. The quality at Rs 350 is amazing , thick , great plugs at both ends and pretty heavy.Robust I would say. For reference : https://youtu.be/PzsMeJNbHE8

For Subwoofer cable ,look at the Chord Crimson Sub cable from ProFx. Chord Company provides the best cable for the buck. Im using Crimson Plus, Crimson Vee3 and Clearway and am extremely content with their performance. They can be compared with rivals costing thrice as much.
(Waiting for the multi award winning C-Line interconnects to be launched in India!!!)

As FM Anuj mentioned, BlueRigger HDMI cable comes in a brown carton box. Name, address , email and other information are mentioned on the box.

Yes I have 3 bluerigger cables. Great packaging in a brown carton. Great value for money. It performed better than the 15 foot Belkin hdmi which was costlier and had frequent signal loss issues.

I believe that fm mash has been duped by a con seller with a fake or a doa cable.

Personally I like the bluerigger and bandridge.

Ok will do. I did write a review on amazon for it and received an email, however have not received a reply to my response.

Yeh that is what even I was expecting but instead got it in a transparent plastic packet from Amazon. Unfortunately I was travelling when it arrived and by the time I returned, the date to return had already passed. I did put in a review mentioning this.

My Sub-woofer cable is from Acoustic Research and quite happy with it.

Hi Mash,

Please check if it's being sold directly by Bluerigger. The packaging that you have described doesn't look like Bluerigger. The Bluerigger cables come in a brown cardboard box. The quality of the cardbaord box is also really very good (comparable to any high end equipment box packing).

I have purchased more than 1 type of Bluerigger cable from amazon (3-4 HDMI cables, subwoofer and optical). Each cable is separately packed in an individual box and no 2 cables are inside a single box.

So maybe you have received a counterfeit cable?

Another happy customer of Blue Rigger. Have bought multiple cables for audio and video and never had any issues.

Only Monoprice cables beat them both in terms of performance and also price (but the hassle being you need to buy in US and carry them).

Other than that the best cables at the budget end.

The last time I checked on Amazon.in, Monoprice was like 3 to 8 times what it cost on Amazon.com.

The Toslink cable I purchased was less than $5 on Amazon.com. Of course a moot point as its US and no use unless you have someone coming over or are a frequent flyer... but just saying even Monoprice and Amazon Basics are priced anywhere from 3x to nearly 10x their Amazon.com prices locally.

FWIW, HiFiMart has better budget cables from the likes of DAC.
