I want to purchase a subwoofer for my HT setup in a small bedroom (14'-9" x 11'-3") of approx 1660 cu.ft. size. The room has absorbing material like double bed, curtains, wall paper with laminated wooden floor. The Sub will be used purely for movie purpose.

My HT system has Epos M12i as Front, Epos Centre speaker and QAccoustics speakers as rear. The AVR is Marantz SR6005.

I have shortlisted SVS SB12 NSD, which is 12" sealed sub. Will it be overpowering in my room?

I see that the Specs indicate 400w and personally i dont think it would be overkill...
Are there any windows in the room....
u can expect Rattling of windows for low freq at high volume....
Experts can throw some light on it

I don't think you will ever hear anyone say that their sub is too powerful.
With a sub its all about fine tuning the sub to match with the rest of your speakers as well as room tackling room modes
