Hi guys,
It's been awhile since I've been on HFV, but I'm back and I need some advice.

I'm looking for a musically inclined sub (emphasis on tightness, and impact, rather than boom) for a music/game/movie usage scenario, in that order.

I use my PC for music, but am using an optical out from my motherboard, feeding my Ref 5 DAC from Audio GD, that feeds a pair of BX5 D2 monitors.

My budget would be not more than 30K, although if an excellent product for my purpose is just beyond that range, please do let me know.

Pls suggest something...

U should demo the CA Minx X200 / X300. I own a X200 and I really feel the 6" Sub does wonders, its never boomy and perfectly blends with my Min 21 satellites.

Sorry for the delay guys, was out of town. The room is my PC room, and its not very large 10x12 :( I know this isn't enough to generate a proper bass wave for really larger drivers, but is their anything that's tight and dynamic, for music, yet giving me some impact in games. Movies is hardly my focus. Budget can go up to 35K.

I seem to be reading good things about the Velodyne EQ Max 10. Any first hand information? Fair price?
