Hi All,
Almost all LCDs/Plasmas have either poor or average SQ. (No offense meant to anyone!)
Is it a good idea to use an external speaker 2.1/2.0 that is self powered(amplified) or powered by the TV itself - without going for a seperate AVR?
Is it economical and practical to use a full blown AVR+speaker setup to watch regular SD satellite TV?
My confusion is because:
1. Regular TV will not have HQ audio - only stereo.
2. Running the AVR+Speakers 8/10 hours daily will be costly due to more electric bills
3. Would the life of the AVRs be affected if we use them 8/10 hours - ignoring the cost of electricty?
I am currently using a CRT with good stereo output and surround/bass and I doubt if the same will be matched by the LCD with inbuilt speakers.
