Suggestion required for my stereo setup.

Hallo friends.
Presently I am listening music with my Edifier C2 spk. connected with my Creative SB Audigy SE sound card. But now I want to upgrade my stereo setup with---

1) Asus Xonar Essence ST sound card,
2) Norge Mosfet 2000 amp.
3) Dali Concept 1 spk. or wharfedale 9.2 spk.

Will that be a good budget stereo setup. Needs your valuable suggestion and advice.

Didn't quite understand your requirement. Budget is generally set by the person who seeks the help and others suggest on electronics within that budget. The thing is reversed over here

Anyway, why ST? Go for STX as it makes more sense because PCI-express is future and old PCI will soon get obsolete. And if your mobo is old and doesn't have PCI-E then upgrade your mobo rather than going for ST. You will be benefited in longer run.

Rest depends on your budget.

I remember reading somewhere that ST was preferred over STX simply because the ST had an updated clock and offered a marginal improvement.

Anyways I myself have the STX.

@Subha15011976 - Either (ST or STX) is a good DAC but I agree with koushik here for PCIX i.e. STX. Its future proof.

Go with Wharfedale Diamond 10.1. I found the 10 to be an improvement over 9. 10.1 needs better placement to shine.

Seriously no right answer to this. No matter what one has... one always wants more. Even when having a Rs. 5 lac system one will be looking to improve/upgrade. So let your budget decide and get the best in that budget. In terms of SQ Norge + Wharfedale is a good combo and the SQ will satisfy you over your present setup.

By the choice I think your budget is around 30k. An used cambridge audio along with aviano 2. NAD/Marantz paired with alpha b1 will give excellent setup to start with.

Thanx U all for ur valuable suggestion. My mobo has a PCIe slot but I also have a graphics card and after installing graphics card there is not enough space to use PCIe slot to install STX, the gap is very narrow. so I have to opt for ST (PCI version). It's my compulsion at this point of time now.

Well my budget for spk.+amp. is not more than 30k. Sound card may be accommodated later on.

Will Wharfedale Diamond 10.1 sounding better than Dali Concept 1(Rs 17k - 18k). What 10.1 costs.

My thinking was Norge Mosfet 2000 amp. (Rs. 13k) + Dali Concept 1 (Rs 17k - 18k), perfectly with in my budget. I can stretch amp. budget up to 15k, in that case I have to reduce my spk. budget to 15k.

Any view how Dali Concept 1 Sounded.

Hi all... i have also plans in selecting very good sound book shelfs for my stereo set up.. My amp is NAD 326BEE... But for bookshelves i am in great dilemma in considering between PSB image B6 or KEF Q300...

Heard both are very good but is it that PSB sound plain may be "british way of sounding" and KEF sound in more dynamic ???

Any one please provide your personal suggesions....

Try Paradigm Titan Monitors (Paradigm has discontinued this series, but you may get in the stock). With NAD it will give very good sound.
