switching from dish tv to videocon

i want to say bye to dish tv anfd switch to videocon HD,how can i do it. i still have abt Rs 2999.00 in my dish tv acct-when i spoke to dish v they say u can only transfer the amt to another dish tv provided both are same name connections-how should i do this.is videocon better in HD than dish tv,i have already brought a full hd tv

i have an option to continue in dish tv with HD but is their service good in HD-do they give dolby sound etc

Best in HD channels are Tata Sky, Airtel & Videocon. I don't think there are many users here using Dish tv. As you have plenty of balance, best option is to consume the same and moved to D2H once its zero. I don't know if selling the connection is an option you can go for, also if Dish TV allows ownership changes.

I just switched from TS to Dish last month. I switched as the channels I wanted to watch were removed from TS. The real HD channels on Dish are fine on my 50 inch plasma. There is very little difference between the two in the long run and I don't miss the HD on TS at all. However, I do not know about 5.1 etc. as I do not use it.

Hi...better to wait for the more learned FMs about the quality of 5.1 digital dolby sound on Dish tru HD compared with other providers. But from the many threads on Dish in this forum it appears that this output is available.
Also some of the channels do not appear to be genuine HD channels but upsampled. However, all the standard real HD channels as offered by other providers are anyway included.

Hi,

I just upgraded my 7 years old Dishtv tv SD connection to HD and the experience is excellent so far. Sound on couple of HD channels are true 5.1 like 'Movies Now'. I'm watching it on Panasonic 42E6D and HD channels look awesome and razor sharp. SD channels are upscaled and you need to clibrate your tv accordingly.
CC is excellent in NCR.
