Hi,
I am setting up a 5.1 Home Theater and looking to settle on one of "Tannoy DC6T and Definititve Technology BP-8060ST " for front standing speakers.

Any suggestions which one is best.

I am going to plug them to Marantz SR5007.

Hi,

I had the DC6T Revolution Signature Version for some times. They are amazing speakers for the price and have great midrange and resolution. However the treble is sharp to my liking. Please note that I am too sensitive to any speaker which has even a bit of brightness (Example B&W CM9 - too sharp to my taste).
Please audition for this aspect and if you are fine with it, then these sepakers are great.
On the other hand, though I have not heard the BP-8060ST, I am preferrring active subwoofer these days and I liked what I read about them.
BTW, what is the asking price?

I heard DefTech BP-8020ST with Marantz,it has 8inch subwoofer, bass is too good to me.I think there is no need of seperate SW. But I heard like those deftech has some power problem(they has power amp inside to run the SW),I dont know exactly.

Tannoy not heard.

better to go and audition.
