Tata Sky HD losing the edge

I have been a strong advocate of Tata Sky since mid this year when I abandoned DishTV's HD service and went for Tata Sky HD. Seems like TSHD is losing the edge now. They lag behind all other operators, perhaps with an exception of Sun TV HD, in terms of number of HD channels.

Any ideas when TataSky will be increasing the number of their HD channels?

TS HD has 8 HD channels

Reliance has 7 , one of them is their crap HD Service I concert
SUN HD has 5

How they can be better than TS.

TS always tried to show the current sports events in HD, Star Cricket HD, Neo HD, ESPN HD etc. The one limitation I found is missing Movies Now HD.

If someone is looking for a HD-DVR with 5.1 output, I suggest either TS or Airtel.

From Airtel HD-DVR Only 2 channel stereo over HDMI, you need to connect optical audio cable to get 5.1

At Dish HD gives 5.1 over optical, available in selective movies of Movies Now and at times in NGC Wild HD and NGC Adventure HD. Rear surrounds get effective here in last two channels.

Tata Sky seems to be quite slow on adding channels to its kitty and the story is similar with its HD channels as well. I do think it is losing edge but not to Airtel or Big TV but Dish TV.

Airtel supports 5.1 via optical out.

Tata Sky has continued lagging behind others in their HD offerings. I am now thinking of resuming my suspended DishTV HD connection, particularly due to Star Movies HD and 2 new HBO HD channels being available on DishTV.

Ideas?
