Yes, called their helpdesk - had to do a complete reset from system screen....hope it works. Need to do that with my other stb now...

Facing same problem with 2 of my HD Plus Set Top Boxes. Done Master reset. Nothing works. Called technician. He also has no idea. Suggesting me to replace STB. Both are out of warranty. Would prefer to change service provider if i am told to change STB.

I am changing providers next week:In any case, does not seem like TS will add any new channels, esp HD, without charging extra. Hopefully we can see some additional channels at lower cost either on D2H or Dish...

Yeah. But DishTV is not cheap either.

Check out the packages for Videocon DTH, if it suits your requirement you can go for the same. I am sure you would not be disappointed.

Experiencing weird problems with both my HD STB for the past 3 days- does not switch on immediately and after a couple of tries it reboots. Also reports errors like " Error 08" your Digi card may have been inserted wrongly-please remove wipe and replace " etc etcA couple of wrong recording have also been made and no option to delete.
Anyone else ?

Same here. On both hd pvrs. The sd pvr that I has (original ts+) is fine.

@jbgude, if you opt for Videocon d2h, ensure that you ask for a large diameter dish to offset the rain disruption problem that affects this provider more than others.

I am having the same problem on my TS HD+ box. It doesn't switch on even after repeatedly pressing the on button on the remote. A red light flashes on the panel showing that it has registered the command, but there is no response. After about 5-6 mins, when I try again, it comes on. Another problem is that while watching, the screen suddenly goes blank and then comes back after 10-15 secs.

I had the same issue of the HD+ STB not switching on immediately with my Harmony 700 remote. There was an update a couple of nights ago (strangely, the fonts were bigger and the entire TV screen was filled with the top half of the update screen i.e., Progress bar was not visible) and yesterday, it switched on immediately like before. Will need to test it today to be sure though!

Thanks JFKix, I am going to try and get D2H to use the existing TS-Dish and wiring - they can use their own LNB- as I want to avoid damaging the walls with additional drilling- lets see if they agree.
Dish TV is ruled out for me, as their recording facility is still in the dark ages- my family need the "watch one channel record another" option.

Slight alignment change needs to be done for it to work. I am sure the installation engineer can do it. Will he agree to do the same, that i do not know.

For all providers, the dish and lnb are same - all the engineer needs to do is align. They will do it using other providers' dish too but you will not get any rebate.

for all those who are facing issues with TS HD+ STB- try disabling power saving feature in the settings and see if this works. (worked for me, I was also getting reboots)

Hai friends, Today(04-02-2014) New update available TATA SKY HD+, I also download my settop box. The new softwere is improved Pic Quality and Audio Quality especialy Tamil Channal (not HD channals) like sun, ktv, jeya max, sun music etc., so Pls switch ON u r tata sky+ hd box and enjoy it:yahoo:

I received the update on sunday, but could not make out any improvement in quality. If anyone can guide me specific details of change in quality I may able to spot it.
