Tata sky hd

The New HD box does have Genres (menu or < > , & green button) Favourites, Sports, News etc ...

Its a better system than the older version surely !

Can you elaborate how to get channels categorized based on sports, new etc?

It is automatically categorisied. If u press the green button on the remote when the banner is being displayed u will have all the categories on the left and can scroll through them.

How do you save the settings when you change the video resolution from HD to SD under Organization--> System Settings --> Installation Settings --> TV Settings (don't ask why I need to go back to SD)

I tried a lot of times but the settings are never saved. It returns to HD.

Did you find a solution to this issue?
Even i need to do this, but the chosen setting is not getting saved.
Could it be a memory related issue?

Is anyone facing sound issues on Discovery HD. The sound keeps fluctuating. At times its very low and suddenly it gains. Other HD and SD channels are ok. Facing this issue with only Discovery HD. Mine is the black HD STB which they used to provide last year.

Don't worry, you are not the only one with this problem. Discovery HD has been buggy right from the start. I bought TS HD in july and it has been the same problem since.

Well, generally speaking, if you make a change to the setting in the menu, a little green button appears in the interface, next to the red button (in this case Settings Menu). That green button is Save. to activate save, press the green button on your TS remote control and the setting should be saved.

Will try this today and let you know the results.

^^ The settings revert to HD by default even after you store the settings as SD. Looks like a FW bug to me.

Yes, it reverts back to HD if switched off, wheras in blueray players the output resolution gets automatically changed as per the connected Tv's capability (1080 or 720)
