Technics Turntable SL 26

I have come across transformer buzz in turntables with DC motors, the buzz causes vibrations and adds to the rumble.

If one is using an external stepdown transformer, the transformer buzz does not cause any harm provided the turntable does not have an inbuilt phono preamp. If there is an internal phono preamp in the turntable, the transformer buzz can translate into electrical hum, which will be audible during amplification.
