Hello Friends,

Indeed, CDs are experiencing a surprising resurgence! While vinyl has been the star of the physical music format revival, CDs are catching up, driven by a mix of nostalgia and practicality. Interestingly, younger generations, particularly Gen Z, are embracing CDs for their affordability, portability, and unique sound quality. Specially, the limited pressing numbers are weight in gold.

It’s fascinating how physical formats continue to hold their charm in the digital age. Are you a fan of CDs, or do you prefer other formats like vinyl or streaming?

I cant believe this is happening!
Back in 2004, I gave away about 100+ Vinyl since that was out of usage and the day of the CD was in. I had to literally give them away- there were no takers.
Then about a year or two ago, I did the same with my large CD collection (a few hundreds) free to a fellow member from this forum! I threw in a suitcase full of DVDs too along with those. Streaming music had just become so much more convenient!
Now Vinyl is the rage. What I sold for 10 bucks is now 1000 a piece. And I had the choices whos who of Rock music.
And you are now saying CD is making a comeback!
Good grief!
