Hi,

We often hear the advice that a hi-fi system should sound like live music or a concert hall. In most cases, I don’t think that is meant literally. What people usually mean are qualities such as:
  • natural tonal balance
  • convincing dynamics
  • realistic scale, within reason
  • openness and ease
  • the sense that music is flowing freely, not mechanically
That is very different from trying to recreate the actual sound pressure, projection, and venue scale of a concert hall or open-air event inside a living room. Perhaps the better goal is not to chase a literal live concert sound, but to capture the life, energy, and realism of music in a way that suits your own room.

Check out this reel we made :)

Cheers!
