What’s a celebrity rock band? What could be examples of those? Is Indian Ocean a celebrity rock band? Rahul Ram is known because of IO and not the other way around.
Anyway, of those listed, I like Parwaaz. Agnee and Motherjane. Of the older ones, Advaita used to be my top pick (along with Indian Ocean of course, which continues strong). Their music would be classified more as fusion though. Perhaps I have a penchant for bands that bring Indian music (esp classical or folk) idioms to rock.

I am exploring the list slowly. Haven’t heard any of them before. Will decide on conferring celebrity status later if at all
