With the festive season right at corner, we see lots of FMs have used different websites and had good experiences and great price via their online order. I would like to list down all the websites that people have recently used to order and got great deals / sour experiences for the betterment of rest who cannot travel onsite to buy or source:
1. Amazon.in -- good stuff but limited choices.
2. Amazon.com -- international shipping
3. Ebay.com -- international shipping
4. Banggood.in -- good for accessories. little high cost. Audio and video brands
5. gearbest -- good for accessories
6. ubuy.co.in -- good for branded speakers
7. Aliexpress -- good for accessories and Chinese company gears like Xiaomi etc

Please state what you brought ,landing price, actual price (in usd ), and your experience till the time the gear reached your hands (like was it worth) and finally time taken.

This would really appreciate if via this thread you can update your experiences so that we can get best bang for the buck and save time and reduce headache.

Thanks

Hi,

You may also add amazon.co.uk to the list because for a few products, I have seen that the cost of shipping is less compared to the same product, at amazon.com. I observed that this was the case for a few A/V components and accessories which are of British origin and for which the prices matched on Amazon US and UK.

With regards,
Sandeep Sasi

There are quite a few good online sellers in US/UK. I have used many of them personally.
But it requires someone local to accept delivery; no international shipment.
Let me know if there is any interest in such sites; will post a list.
Cheers,
Raghu

Have never heard of or used nos 4,5 and 6 on that list.

But do consider adding HiFiMart to the list!

Hint: You have direct access on here! ;)

Thanks Sandeep, Raghu and Nikhil,
Please go ahead and republish the first list with your new entries. Also let us know any benefit you got .. you can share just the % of benefit.
Also let all know which site you go to for specific products. like for AVR -- abc.com and speaker -- pqr.com.
This shall help people have great festive buys without getting lost.

Thanks again.

UK (store and online)
https://sevenoakssoundandvision.co.uk/ (bought demo KEF speakers in 2015)
https://www.audiovisualonline.co.uk/ (bought Monitor Audio Radius 45 in 2018)
https://www.richersounds.com/ (have not purchased anything but a well known chain)
https://pricespy.co.uk/ (price aggregator site; really up to date)

USA (online)
http://www.outlawaudio.com/ (bought M2200 monoblocks in 2013)
https://www.schiit.com/ (bought Modi-2, Fulla, SYS in 2016/17)
https://www.safeandsoundhq.com/ (bought Parasound NC200Pre & NC275v2 in 2019)
https://www.audioadvisor.com/ (have not purchased anything but a well known site)

Some of these sites have a year round clearance section.
Most of them have good offers around Christmas.

Cheers,
Raghu

Thanks Raghu ..
I am assuming that the above sites have shipping to india..

For India sourcing, I have seen that HiFiMart is very competitive in terms of pricing.
There are lots of satisfied customers too. The bouquet of brands/products is also very good.

As I said earlier, these sites do not ship outside of their geography.
You will need someone in the respective country to accept the shipment.
Find that mule service :)

Raghu

One can use shopandship.com . But they are not as good as borderlinx was (closed now). I have used shopandship to get some low value items.

Viabox.com is a good option as a forwarder. They give you a US shipping address. will hold the shipment for upto 6 months and then you can combine objects and get it shipped together.

Since its a local address you can buy anything from a US online store with a US address.

A beautiful, well-constructed speaker with class-leading soundstage, imaging and bass that is fast, deep, and precise.
