i've been listening to them from the time i have returned from opice.

so far i have not been able to enjoy the sound. now the reason this is the sound these in-ear-monitors produce is confusing.. i mean the instruments sound far apart..
so far Klipsch Image S4s have been my mainstays. now triple.fis are my first venture into serious audio range (if i may call so).

the chime sound from the brass plate in the drum-set (i don't know what is it called) sounds so different from actual electric guitar music - 'all nightmarish long..'

and if you are listening to the 'luka chuppi..' from rang de basanti... at 2.36 mins you will be automatically turn around to check if there is any instrument playing nearby that is making sound - tabla.

so far 'm satisfied that i didn't make a mistake by buying these. i am not experienced in listening to different set-ups so can not judge them right now. so far fun and different. now is the time to enjoy these after much of the adjustments on my cowon player. yep i use eq to my liking. i like my sound to be full and what better player than the cowon s9 for this!! so my personal music hi-fi set-up is almost done.

Not there, not there yet !!!

You've just started. We'll come back to this post again, after sometime (6 months ???) before you chuck out even the triple fi's and buy something real.

Again seeing the siggy, journey from 630 to S4 to TFis is nonetheless astounding. But this is a bad world. You'll be a sucker for finer things sooner than you think.

Nice purchase indeed. Congrats !

lol! thanks!

i know .. actually next upgrade would be custom IEM but that would take a loooong time before i get there.

for now looking out for used ipod classic.

The triple-fi 10's are a great IEM indeed. Very worthy of their top tier category, and have been around for some time now !!! As esanthosh mentioned to me once, one of those you just "CAN'T" sell IEM's. Really, next to impossible. Ask iaudio, he had my pair for a good couple of months. As i write though, they are back with me :p!!!

The biggest drawback with "them babies in electric blue", is getting a good fit/seal (next to impossible;). If you have somehow managed to after a good 5-7 minutes of OCD like behaviour (lol), .... heaven!!!!

IMHO, the bass is fast, accurate with great body (definitely not in quantity which seems to be a dynamic iems' forte). The mids do sound a little 'recessed' if anything and i feel it is more to due to the presentation of sonics (read: ? V-shaped signature), the triple fi 'focusing' on other things like soundstage width/depth and detail retrieval. The treble is so well extended that it constantly surprises you with the lack of sibilance esp in some songs/albums (read Diana Krall: Girl in the Other Room; Michael Jackson: any track from the 25th anniversary CD; among few others).

I have found the lostearbuds 'sony hybrids' to be a better choice than the supplied tips by way of comfort, but strangely enough love the fit with the medium single flange tip from my sennheiser cx300 :p.

Give them some good amplification,.. you will see why they are an incredible piece of kit. Of course, YMMV.

Cheers.

you are spot on with sound description. what amazes me is the w i d e soundstage. 'm just downloading flacs of my fav music and listening. it is just so revealing and make me grin like an idiot whether alone or among people :)
