TX-NR 5008 and External Amplifier!!!

Hi,
I try to isolate 5008's amplifier and to run external amplifier. In 5008 there is no pre-out. Is it possible to use 5008 as processor and add external amplifier?

Its difficult,but if a person with amp knowledge helps you,you can open the amp,locate the cables (7.1)just before amp section(usually must be a strip one),If you can detach it & add RCA socket,its possible.

Then its very simple.Direct connection to poweramp {keeping speaker end on Onkyo 5008 open).

The 5008 has one of the best Toroidal transformer amp, is quite powerful and its no slouch. Its one of the high end amp. You are sure wasting that amp.

What external amp you planning to connect to it? Unless the external amp power/rating/quality matches to 5008's amp, don't even bother.

5008 definetly have pre outs, check the manual. BTW which external amplifer are you moving to ?

I tried to compare 5008's amp section and other amp seperately as well as with 5008 through pre out. I am trying to isolate amp section not in 5008 but in hts9300thx HTIB's receiver. I am using 5008 as receiver and removed the 9300. Now I am planning for another setup using 9300 receiver as pre and with external amp. But there is no pre amp in 9300. I am trying to look for how to seperate the amp section. But I dont want to mess up the receiver. Any suggestion help would appreciated?

Badri,
5008 has a separate, dedicated power section for amp. So, even though its in the same housing, its quite isolated from rest of the electronics. I believe it has 3 separate power sections. The power amp has toroidal transformer which is considered very high quality. I am afraid in the per suit of isolation, you might go for lesser quality amp and do worse than what you have currently.

Have you identified any issues so far if the amp inside 5008 is used?
