Can an esteemed member wil comment on samsung ultraslim 29 crt ?I searched the forum but couldn't find any thread on it.Deciding to buy this one unless there is negative opinion from forum.

A good friend had two and both had picture problem within 1 year. So he got it repaired and disposed it asap.

and i would be happy if u suggest other company.As for pany its after sales service problem in my area and philips we dont have any dealer here.

I have Samsung 29" SlimFit..little older than what you are currently looking at. It depends on what you need the TV for...if for gaming I will strongly suggest against buying it. All the Slim/ultra slim TVs will have picture geometry issues. Mine has too but I dont it use it much for gaming so I can lier with it. But on the plus side the color rendering is very good (in Movie mode). I just love to watch HBO on it. LG/Videocon will be cheaper but I don't like their picture quality but for Videocon and LG after sales service is very very good. What other brands are you considering minus Philips (very poor after sales service) ?

I mostly use for watching Dish TV and no gaming at all
and it would be a Family TV so need a big screen
