Urgent help required!! Speakers for Marantz 5004???

I am trying to setup a amp+speakers combo for music listening. :yahoo:

On hifi mart there is offer on Marantz 5004 for 17.5k :licklips: so am thinking of getting it. (Not yet finalized on this amp. its just starting point)

Now question is which speakers will pair nicely with this amp?
My total budget is around 40K. Basically looking for Bookshelves.

* Strictly No compromise on sound quality. *

Please suggest some good speakers.

Hello Rohit. No first hand exp. here but based on your budget you could also try the Polk RTi A1 or A3, Monitor Audio M2, in addition to the Wharfedale 9.1/9.2/10.1/10.2. KEF Q300 is widely discussed in this forum as a superb companion to Marantz amps but at ~25k it could be out of your budget. Also consider Mordaunt-Short Aviano 1. These are just starting points in your speaker search!

Hi rohit,

For PM5004, try MS Aviano1 or 2, I have MS Aviano-2 with PM 6003 and it is a good set-up with ample details and plenty of Bass. But audition before you purchase. Both should work out within your total budget of 40k.

MS, MA and Qef and Polk pair well with Marantz.Not knowing your music taste, I would look into MA and QEF generally as good options.
