Urgent information required- Chennai members

I am looking to ICE my Wagon R on a tight budget. probably amp (blaupkunt) + Sub (JBL)= 10000/-
Does anyone know any shops in GP road who can quote references? Work should be neat and of good quality.

I am getting good deals in snapdeal on sub and amp but want to check with our members in the forum, before I look out.

Also, any better options on the amp and sub?

I know a guy in Anna Nagar who is good at this(Lekha Cars). But i guess, the price will surely be a little higher than GP road. But the good thing is we can be sure we are not given fake products. Also JBL has an official retailer in GP road. PM me i will send his contact number. I'm not sure if i can put the phone number here.

I don't think it is good idea to add just a sub to stock OEM speakers. It will be difficult to integrate with the midrange. If still you are hell bent to go this route, check the frequency response of the sub. Ensure that it goes well above 250Hz so that you can cross the sub at 100Hz/12db. A 10" sub would be more apt in this case.

thanks. So here is what I did. I visited soundworks in chennai on Friday with a friend. the owner Johnny was good to first listen to my stock system and suggested me what sun to go. though the system and speakers were more than 3 yrs old, he said that they sounded good enough. Like I already mentioned, i was short on bedget, I went for a sony 12 inch sub and a 2 channel amplifier, I also added a new horn a new antenna. all these including labor came to 13,500/-.

the system has become pretty decent now. better than before. but this is a beginner system only and upgrades on stock speakers will happen after 6 months.
