I will be buying IC and speaker cables latest by tomorrow EOD, so these are really last hour inputs you can say :) just so that I validate the choices :)

Dear Friends,
With some searching and budgeting (Since I may get a discount from the dealer) I have shortlisted on below ICs and speaker cables:

ICs:
Audio Quest "G Snake" or
Audio Quest "sidewinder"

Speaker cables:
X2 - 14 AWG

Plugs/Terminations:
I am planning to not terminate them on speakers side and hook them up directly but use plugs on amp side. So can get 4 of them.

Now, where I need your inputs is I hope these ICs and speaker cables will do a decent job with the setup in discussion for now.

AP Pre->AP Power->Paradigm Monitor 7

My total budget for ICs AND cables right now is around 5k as I still need to budget for a good source.

Any locally READILY AVAILABLE options like Chord, Monster, etc that are alternative to these choice?

Timely inputs will be very helpful! :)

Cheers! :)

Absolutely you are wasting your time without enjoying the amps... Please contact Captrajesh / Venu / iaudio owners of same amps and they can advice you further... As other said AP sells their own cable.

Already asked AP but they recommend their own cable and refrain from recommending any other :(

I considered their interconnect also but it is around 8k. It is out of my budget.

Hence this post...

You caught hold of the tiger's tail.. You should run with it or it will eat you.. :D

Ok, my suggestion is to go with Nordost Blue heaven to have an good control over bass and to enjoy the digital music.

As plenty of members suggest, why cant you try Finolex for all, it should be an good experiment too.

OK, thanks. I wonder how they are as compared to audio quest.
Are they similarly priced as AQ?
Also who keeps them in Pune.
Anyone in Pune willing to give away really good cables (better than AQ i.e) in my budget? :) (Dont want to spend more than 5k initially on ICs + cables using the 5% rule)

I am trying to avoid too much R&D on cables at least :ohyeah:

The local dealer has options of AQ, DAC and some other brand. So, I am tring to keep it simple and quick and picking the decent AQ ones.

How about Chord cables?

I am using 1 pair chord anlogue IC and is a nice cable, I think it is CIRMSON PLUS RCA cable. I also use Murthy's ICs for all other interconnects. I felt Murthy's ICs are better. Murthy's cables has very good RCA plugs (lockable) as well as nice finish and durable.

Trust me, cable thing is still a myth. So start with entry levels first and then upgrade later after borrowing few from members. Not worth going for high-end in first go , IMO.

And , where is the picture?

;) Peace.
