I am glad to know about this meet and about the FMs Prem Sir, Denom, Hemant, Satyaki, Mahesh and Viren sir. I wish I could have been there but unfortunately I am located in Chandigarh. Please keep posting

Heartfelt thanks to Prem, for once again having us over for a listening session at his place. It was a pleasure to meet Viren, who is really a fantastic person and is an out & out music buff, which greatly reflects in his creations as well. Kudos to him!

The fact that some of my friends were also part of the listening session was also a plus point. It was nice to finally meet Hiten, though we have hardly interacted on the forum, we got on like old friends meeting after a while. Hope we meet more often!

It is always an education that one receives when we listen to music at Prem's place, as he takes great pains to keep elevating his set-up to another level. The fact that he is so humble, enjoys explaining & subsequently showcasing what is happening when he has done some tweak is very fascinating, as without actually experiencing the change with the said tweak, one would never believe if some one just said the same to you.

Its an eye opener when the system is so resolving, it really is. Time literally flies when you are so involved with the music, you get lost in those moments & forget about all worldly matters. It sure is a stress release by itself.

Kudos to Prem & his family for their warmth & hospitality. Truly good people who like to share happiness.

Hi Guys

The electrical insulation tape tweak did not work on the power amp. However it seems to be doing something on the vol control. Will leave it for a few days and then figure out

I have met Viren ji few times in Delhi. it is always a great experience meeting a saint like person. if music is gateway to divine. I feel Viren ji has touched the divinity though music. His magnetic presence makes you to feel n listen same music differently, which you might have never heard before..

Listened to the system again with the insulation tape on the top plate of the vol control. It does not work in my system.

am just guessing so could be wrong. If aim is to isolate the plate from vibration/resonance could it be that the tape is blocking it ?
Instead more mass would lower it significantly. So one can use damping sheets in properly cut shape and fix them to the aluminum plate from inside. Or temporarily one can just put on top to experiment. Provided heat is not an issue.
