There is an area called nathan street there. You will find a lot of stuff there.
I was there last month. I wasnt particularly looking for AV stuff, but the tech stuff in general was not all that cost effective. Have a general idea of the cost of things in India that you intend to buy from there.
There is also a computer market near admirality area, that at least I could not find. Someone told me you get good cheap stuff there.
Secondly without sounding judgmental or racist, I found the people there to be a little rude and at times uncooperative. So be very clear about the things you are looking for.

Tsim Sha Sui in Kowloon is a good place for look for general electronics but for for high end electronics please go to Mongkok in Tsim Sha Sui .....when you enter the main Mongkok street there will be a building on your right within the first 100 metres which has a super hi fi shop on atleast 10 of the 20 floors where each store would be stocking no less than 10 different brands of hi fi speakers and amplifiers....

10/FL, 11/FL, Grancastle Commercial Centre, 2T Sai Yeung Choi Street, MongKok, Kowloon, Hong Kong.

There is one (forget the floor) where the store had ATC, Spendor, Harbeths, Dali, Pro Ac, Wharfedale, Quads in one shop .......you can go mad there.....



Otherwise all the authorised dealers in Hongkong are in 1 building in Central.....


This street is on Dudell street near the Ice House street opposite a Virgin Music store.....there are atleast 13-15 dealers with all imaginable brands under the sun in one building.....

For second hand deals, please check AV Consignment centre on Queens Road if you are looking to buy used Avalons Eidilons, Wilson Audios, Pro Acs, Audio Note, Mark Levison etc.....they even have mid fi brands but my eyes did not even look at them...

With all those nice equipment we usually talk about and consider mostly available in India, most ignore the importance of a good equipment rack which not only gets the best out of your components but also has to be aesthetically pleasing. In this context, if you are really interested, look for a Taoc stand/rack. It is available in Hong Kong and made by a Japanese company who are a supplier to Toyota. I have one of their racks (AS series), reasonably priced, good-looking and a great performer with the shelves made out of particle board containing cast iron powder. They are not too heavy and come dismantled, so fairly easy to carry and assemble. I don't know names of dealers in Hong Kong but know for sure they sell them there.

Just a suggestion.
